CO-PRODUCTION

Co-production practice

I specialise in co-created film and media projects that place lived experience at the centre. My approach is collaborative and process-led, shaped through listening, reflection, and long-term engagement, and grounded in ethical approaches to shared authorship and care.

I work across film, animation, comics and live formats, often in collaboration with other artists, animators and illustrators, within education, community and human rights contexts. These projects explore how complex lived experience can be translated into accessible forms, without losing nuance, agency, or voice.

FAIRPLAY

Alongside my co-produced projects, I’ve developed a range of collaborative media works, often working with other artists, designers, and animators. These projects explore different ways of translating complex social issues into accessible forms, while maintaining an ethical, participatory approach to storytelling.

THE NHS AND HUMAN RIGHTS

Watch the animation

Working with Gobblyne and Superdoodle, and NHS doctor Sarah Simons, I directed and produced this animation all about how human rights work on a day to day basis in the NHS

‘WHAT’S A NICE GIRL LIKE YOU DOING IN A JOB LIKE THIS?’

WATCH THE ANIMATION

This animation was a collaborative piece of work made with the English Collective of Prostitutes. Made from a concept I had around water colours - the film was created from around 7,000 hand-painted images by animator Tom Senior, this multi award-winning film depicts two women similarly struggling to make ends meet under the immense pressure and precariousness of their respective jobs.

WATCH THE ANIMATION

This explainer animation was made with Cognitive Media to illustrate how Community Sponsorship in the UK was driven by ordinary people, and how the movement is supported by Reset - a charity supporting the communities who welcome displaced people make a new life in the UK

JOURNEYS THROUGH MENTAL HEALTH

'Journeys Through Mental Health’ was where we developed a comic from conversations I had with young people with lived experience of mental health issues. I worked in collaboration with artist Sabba Khan who created the illustrations which we released over a month as a digital comic and turned into short animations.
